Review: Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution

20:29:00

Hey beauties,

Hope you all doing great. This year I started paying more attention to skin care products and established a basic skin care regimen. I now also try to use a proper cleanser to remove my makeup instead of directly washing my face to remove it. My favorite product to do this job is Nivea Visage Refreshing Cleansing Milk. Luckily few weeks ago, I got the chance to try this little bottle of Bioderma Sensibio Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution. I was so excited to try this much raved about cleanser. So let's get to the review and see if it really is worth the hype or not...

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution
About The Product:
At the cutting edge of innovation, BIODERMA has pioneered micellar solutions. Specially formulated for sensitive, normal to dry skins, the Sensibio H2O micelle solution gently cleanses face and eyes. It removes water-resistant make-up.

The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the skin’s balance (soap-free, physiological pH).

Soothing and decongesting active ingredients prevent the feelings of irritation often caused by cleansing.

How To Use:
  • Soak a cotton pad with Sensibio H2O and cleanse the face and eyes and/or remove any make-up.
  • Repeat the application until the cotton pad remains clean.
  • It needs no rinsing, but it is essential to dry your skin. Dry gently. Dab your face with a clean cotton towel.
My Experience:
I have been using this cleanser since the day I got it to remove my makeup at night. I have to agree with its claim of being an "ultra mild cleanser". It really is gentle and is not drying at all. Although my Nivea Visage Cleanser is very gentle on skin too. But somehow when I use that to remove my eye makeup, my eyes kinda get greasy, and watery because of the milky consistency of that cleanser. I am glad that this cleanser doesn't irritate my eyes at all and I can safely use it to remove my eye makeup too.

Now coming to its performance as a cleanser/makeup remover. I soak a cotton pad with this solution and wipe my face with the pad gently to remove the makeup. It effectively breaks down makeup, especially foundation, concealer, eyeshadow and blusher in just one swipe. But when it comes to waterproof eyeliner, it doesn't easily remove that in just one swipe and I need to work a bit harder. Even after using multiple pads soaked in this solution, it still leaves a very thin line of eyeliner close to my lash line. However, it removes the rest of the makeup really effectively and quickly.

Left: With thick layer of foundation and more makeup (before using the cleaner) - Right: Makeup removed (after using the cleanser)
I love how this cleanser makes my skin feel tighter, smoother and cleaner after use. Overall, its a great cleanser and makes the makeup removing task a lot easier. Its great for those with sensitive skin as its not harsh on skin. I definitely recommend you to try this.

The Goods:
  • Gentle on skin
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Effectively and quickly removes makeup (even the thickest layer of foundation)
  • Safe to use on eyes
  • Makes skin feel tighter and smoother after use
The Bads:
  • Does not easily remove waterproof eyeliner/mascara
