Review & EOTD: W7 Cosmetics In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette...!!!

17:31:00

Hey beauties,

Hope you all are doing great. Finally the sun is shining here today, thus making it a perfect day for blogging. Today I am sharing my thoughts on the W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette that I got recently. Neutral eye palettes always appeal me and this one is said to be a dupe for the famous Urban Decay Naked 3. Does this palette performs well too...? Read full review to find out more...

W7 In The Nude palette comes in a light-weight metallic packaging. To be honest, the packaging feels kind of cheap. However, for the price I would say its not bad. This palette contains 12 gorgeous neutral shades having matte, satin and shimmery finish. Most of the shades included in this palette are pink toned. Others are taupe, bronze, nude brown and a dark black with some hint of purple in it. The first five shades in the palette somehow disappointed me as they are not very pigmented. The second shade is glittery and is the only shade that is chalky. The 3rd and 4th shades don't really show up on my skin. However, the rest of the seven shades performed really well for me. They are highly pigmented, have smooth texture, perfect satin to matte finish and they look amazing. Those are my favorite shades from this palette.

The texture of all the shades in this palette is really soft. Even the few matte shades in the palette are not chalky and feel so soft and smooth. However, the soft texture of these eyeshadows causes some fall out in the pan and during application. These eyeshadows blend very easily and last on my eyes for 6 hours or more without creasing. As already said, the shades included in the second half of the palette have better color payoff, better texture and they last even longer.

Here are the swatches of all the shades included in this palette taken in natural light without any primer. At the end I have shared a quick subtle smokey eye created using this palette.

And now time for the subtle smokey eye look I created using this palette:
Subtle Smokey EOTD using W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette
Products Used:
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in shade "Fair"
  • Shade (Bad Manners) from W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette on my lid
  • Shade (Tokyo) from W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette in my crease
  • Shade (Fashionista) from W7 In The Nude Eyeshadow Palette above my crease and in the outer corner.
  • Palladio Herbal Liquid eyeliner in Back
  • DMGM Studio Lashes Mascara
Overall, this is a nice affordable palette that has perfect combination of neutral shades with different finishes. It has some minor cons like cheap packaging and fall out. But for the price, its not at all bad. Most of the shades in this palette have great color payoff and good staying power. I don't own the original Naked 3 palette but as per the swatches seen on net, the shades included in this palette definitely look close enough to those in Naked 3. So yes, it is a nice dupe for the famous UD Naked 3 palette. If you are a neutral eyeshadow lover like me and are looking for a good affordable neutral eye palette, then you should definitely give this a try.

The Goods:
  • Contains 16 gorgeous cool and warm toned neutral shades
  • Variety of finishes in one palette (matte, glittery, shimmery and satin)
  • Good pigmentation
  • Decent staying power
  • Doesn't crease
  • Soft and easily blendable texture
  • Affordable
The Bads:
  • The first few shades are not very pigmented and do not perform really well.
  • Most of the shades in this palette are prone to fallout

Price & Availability: In Pakistan, this palette is available online at Beautified.pk for Rs 995/- only. For international readers, this palette is available at Beautified UK for £4.99 only. Also available at W7 Cosmetics Website for £9.99.
