Review: NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in shades San Paulo and Antwerp...!!!

Hope you all are doing great. Liquid lipsticks are all the hype these days and I can't get enough of them. A while ago, I got my hands on the much raved about NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams in two gorgeous shades. I have been wearing these quite often since the day I got these and now is the perfect time to share my thoughts on these. So let's get to the review and see what I have to say about these Soft Matte Lip Creams by NYX.

NYX soft matte lip creams are fairly pigmented. The pigmentation is not as good as other liquid lipsticks but it is still good enough and provides almost opaque coverage in just one swipe. These soft matte lip creams have different texture than the rest of the liquid lipsticks I have tried so far. These are rightly named Soft Matte Lip Creams as the texture is very soft, feels creamy and dries to a soft, semi-matte to matte finish. These do not feel drying on the lips and feel extremely comfortable to wear. However, these do have slight tendency to accentuate any dry patches on the lips.

The shade "San Paulo" is a gorgeous rosy pink shade. I am so loving this shade. It is perfect for fall, winters or even summers. The shade "Antwerp" is a lovely peachy pink shade which is great for spring or summer. I love such shades and don't mind wearing them even in winters. The staying power of these lip creams is pretty decent yet not very remarkable. These last on my lips for about 4-5 hours which is not as good as other liquid lipsticks but not bad either. Overall, I really like the formula, feel and soft matte finish of these matte lip creams. The staying power of these lip creams is not really remarkable as compared to other liquid lipsticks. Nonetheless, I love these. These lip creams are so comfortable to wear and are non-drying. For the price, I think these lip creams are really good and you should definitely try these out.

  • Dry to a nice matte finish
  • Do not feel drying

    These lip creams are great but i am seriously loving MUR Lip creams. They are almost similar and are of half price then these one. Great review and Swatches.

      Thanks :) MUR lip creams didn't really work well for me. I still love one of the shades that I have. However performance wise, I find other liquid lipsticks much better than those.

    Both shades are beautiful. Although there is not much difference between them in pics. I have also ordered a few shades from nyx and colorpop, not yet received. But will be trying for the first time. Most of the lipsticks don't stay on my lips for longer time. Always looking for long lasting matte lippies. Huda which other brands have you tried in liquid lipsticks?

      Thanks Shumail. Other liquid lipsticks that I have tried are DMGM photofix lip colors, Diana of London 2000 kisses lipstick, Makeup Revolution Velvet Lip Lacquers and Color Pop Ultra Matte Lipsticks. Am loving the color pop ultra mattes as they last much longer and are super pigmented. From the locally available options DMGM photo fix lip colors are THE BEST. They are really good for the price. Have heard good things about bourjois ones too but haven't tried those yet.

    Great review. I am super excited because finally NYX has been launched in UK by Boots and will be widely available shortly. I don't like online shopping of cosmetics. It doesn't give that retail therapy kind of satisfaction :P Now I will be loving me some NYX goodies and probably these lip cream... :)
