L’Oréal Professionnel, the Parisian house of hairdressing, launched the global IT LOOKS for 2017 with their first roadshow in Islamabad on 17th April 2017 in collaboration with International Technical Consultant Tarek Rizk. Featuring the hair looks for Spring/Summer, the idea was to inspire salons to learn the high fashion, edgy and inspirational IT LOOKS for 2017. 

The event was opened by Tanzila Hashwani, Education Manager at L’Oreal Professionnel where she talked about the latest trends that came together to create IT LOOKS 2017. She spoke about how hair color is the new make-up and how the latest hair coloration trends are now inspired by make-up techniques like contouring, strobing amongst others. She then went to reveal the IT LOOKS 2017 with official images of Hareem Farooq in Copper Foilyage and Rehmat Ajmal in Nude Beige followed by a short beauty film introducing IT LOOKS 2017.

Tarek Rizk took the stage after and went on to discuss international trends and them started a live demonstration by showing before images of models and then inviting them on stage to reveal their after looks followed by live styling and cutting before sending each model forward to walk down the ramp. The hair maestro styled 9 looks live on stage before inviting the IT GIRLS to the stage and styling their final looks before taking a grand final walk down the ramp with each IT GIRL on either side. Both IT GIRLS were dressed in Mango Pakistan which was the official wardrobe partner for the campaign.

The Copper Foilyage was created taking into account the fact that copper is the color of the season as spotted on the runways for Alexander Wang, Noon by Noor and Leanne Marshall. The colorists worked with a palette of red, gold and copper shades to sublime facial features and complexion. The Nude Beige has been inspired from the no make-up look trend that has taken the international fashion scene by storm as seen on ramp for designers like Dior, Chanel and Elie Saab who sent out their models in nude make up looks for a chic and natural effect.

The event was attended by multiple partnering salons like Faiza’s Salon, Royli and Toni Guy amongst others. The event was also attended by social media bloggers from Islamabad along with print journalists and broadcast channels.

I was lucky enough to try one of the shades, "Natasha's Delicate Rose" from the Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pinks. L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Exclusive Lipsticks come in a gorgeous black and gold packaging. The outer black matte packaging looks so sleek and Natasha's golden signature on the packaging makes it even more appealing. Overall the packaging looks really sleek and attractive.

The formula of this new  Color Riche Collection Exclusive Lipstick is very creamy and it glides smoothly on the lips. It has a candy like scent which which is not bothersome. It is fairly pigmented and provides medium yet buildable coverage. It feels hydrating on the lips and is very comfortable to wear. However it has slight tendency to settle in fine lines or lip cracks. The finish this lipstick provides is kind of semi-matte. Overall the formula, feel and finish of this lipstick is good in my opinion.

The shade that I am reviewing is "Natasha's Delicate Rose". Its a light, yellow-toned pink shade. The shade looks much cool-toned at times. Nonetheless, it looks pretty. This shade would compliment fair to medium skin tones. I am not a fan of such light pinks but this one looks really pretty and subtle and I love it. The staying power of this lipstick is pretty decent and it stays on the lips for about 4-5 hours or sometimes even more. It even lasts me through light meal and snacks which is great.

All in all, I really like this L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Exclusive Lipstick. The shade Natasha is absolutely gorgeous. The price of the lipstick is bit steep though. However the sleek packaging, creamy formula, good color payoff and good staying power make me love this lipstick.  L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Collection Exclusive Pinks consists of 6 exquisite shades of pink. If you are looking for some good pink lip colors then you should definitely check this collection out.

• Feels comfortable on lips
• Subtle pink shade
• Does not feel drying

L’Oréal Paris, the world’s leading beauty brand, in celebration of the 30th year anniversary of their renowned makeup brand Color Riche, launched fifteen shades of lipstick in a three month campaign titled #ColorEverAfter. Inspired by classic fairytales, the L’Oréal Paris Color Riche campaign consisted of five princesses, with each highlighting a color family of reds, oranges, plums, pinks and nudes.

The L’Oréal Paris Color Riche classic red shades were represented by none other than Sabeeka Imam, who played the princess with skin as white as snow. The next two princesses Zara Peerzada and Sana Sarfaraz, took inspiration from a girl with her glass slipper and a beauty and her Riche; the looks were captured by shades of pinks and nudes. The final two looks revealed this month were those of L’Oréal Paris Spokesperson Mehreen Syed and Roma Sobers. Mehreen represented the dark plum shades and took on the role of the princess closest to home, with magic carpet rides and genie lamps. Lastly, Roma, the princess of the underwater embodied the family of orange lip shades.

The campaign concludes this month being the first of its kind for its thematic content and the employment of the first time ever augmented reality ads in Pakistan.

Hey everyone,

We all know taking care of our skin is really important. Developing a basic skin care regimen, eating fresh diet, drinking plenty of water and having a stress free lifestyle are some essentials for fresher looking skin. However many of us aren't aware that we should start using anti-aging products from our early twenties to prevent early signs of aging and for a much younger and fresher looking skin. Since am young, my skin is firm and fresh till now. However to prevent early signs of aging, I recently included my first anti-aging product in my skin care regimen that is L'Oreal Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle and Extra-Firming Day Cream. I have been using it on myself and my Mom regularly to see the results. So no more talking and let's get to the review to see what I have to say about this cream.

What the product claims:
Fortified with Pro-Retinol A and Stimuplex, Revitalift Anti-Wrinkle + Firming works to increase cell turnover, reduce wrinkles, firm skin, and provide 24-hour hydration.

Immediately, skin is more beautiful, toned and smoothed. Day after day, skin looks younger. In 4 weeks, wrinkles are visibly reduced and skin becomes firmer.


My Experience:
The cream comes in a white jar and has 50 ml quantity in it. The quantity is quite sufficient for the price. I got the cream that is targeted for women from age 35-45 years. Since am in my mid-twenties, I decided to apply it on my Mom too to see the results on her as well as on me.

The cream has thick consistency and feels a little heavy. However, it absorbs well into the skin. I have dry/combination skin which turns normal to slightly oily in summers. I apply just a little amount of this cream on my whole face and blend it well. It absorbs into the skin and doesn't feel greasy on my normal/combination skin (in summers). However those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy or greasy especially in summers.

Now talking about the performance, it definitely hydrates and moisturizes the skin well. After one week of usage, I can notice some difference in the condition of my Mom's skin. Her skin feels nourished and hydrated, looks fresher and slightly firmer. The fine lines and wrinkles didn't magically disappear but her skin texture has improved. For me, it hydrated my skin really well. In fact, I didn't feel the need to use any other moisturizer at all. My skin was already firm but now it does look more fresher and more toned.


Overall, I think this cream works well. It hydrates the skin really well, makes the skin look fresher and smoother. I have tested it for about one week only on myself and my Mom and there were no drastic changes or reduction in fine lines/wrinkles. However, our skin condition did improve a bit and it felt much fresher. With continuous usage am sure results will be more obvious.

• Leaves the skin feeling soft and toned
• Makes the skin feel fresher and smoother
• Makes the skin a bit firmer with continuous use
• Great for those with dry/dull/aging skin

The shade is from the "reds" in this new range that are associated with "Snow White", the first fairytale character revealed for this campaign. L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick comes in sleek gold packaging. The packaging is sleek yet prone to scratches. The lipstick glides smoothly on the lips and feels very hydrating. It really nourishes the lips and keeps them hydrated for many hours. However because of such creamy formula it slightly tends to bleed. This lipstick feels lightweight and comfortable on lips. It is highly pigmented and provides full coverage in one to two swipes. The finish this lipstick provides is glossy which turns kind of semi-matte to creamy after a while. I really love the hydrating formula of this lipstick and love how it feels on my lips.

The shade 335 Carmin St Germain is a deep red shade with some hint of pink. The shade initially looks true red on the lips but after a while the pink undertones become more noticeable. It also leaves a deep pink stain on the lips after the actual color fades off. The lasting power of this lipstick is pretty good and it stays on my lips for almost 5 hours or more and then leaves behind a deep pink stain. The pink stain stays on the lips for some extra couple of hours.

All in all, I love the new L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Lipstick. The shade 335 is a really gorgeous red with good staying power. The formula of the lipstick melts onto the lips and feels very hydrating. It has some minor cons like tendency to bleed and transferring to teeth but with so many pros, such minor cons can be ignored. While many might think that this lipstick is a bit pricey for a drugstore brand, I think the formula, feel and performance of this lipstick makes it worth the price and I definitely recommend you to try this.

Hope your week is off to a good start. Today am sharing my first ever hair care product review. I am very particular about my hair care regimen and don't change my shampoo or conditioner so often. I had been using L'Oreal Elvive shampoos for quite a long time (almost 6-7 years or more). I tried switching to some other shampoos and conditioners but none really worked well for me. Last month I got the chance to try the new L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo & Conditioner. So let's see what I have to say about this shampoo and conditioner by L'Oreal Paris.

L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo:
Starting off with the shampoo, it comes in a mustard-yellowish colored bottle. The 6 oils and other ingredients included in this shampoo are listed at the back of the bottle. The color of the shampoo inside is egg yolk like yellow. Let me tell you that I have very fine hair that are slightly frizzy. Because of the extremely fine texture, my scalp and hair become greasy very soon. L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo leathers well and cleans my hair efficiently in just one wash. It smells really good and the smell lingers on my hair for 1-2 days after using this shampoo.

Now coming to the performance, I really noticed some difference in condition of my hair after just one wash. My hair felt much softer, smoother, shinier and manageable. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much from it as usually shampoos with oils tend to weigh my fine hair down and make them more greasy. But I really loved how this shampoo left my hair feeling cleaner yet manageable. After using it a couple of times, the results were more obvious. It added life to my hair and my hair felt shinier and bouncier. However,  I don't really think that it made my hair any thicker and honestly I think no shampoo can do that. Am glad it didn't made my scalp greasier but I did feel the need to wash my hair after 2 days like all other shampoos. I must admit this shampoo really leaves my hair feeling great for 2-3 days and I overall love the results of this shampoo on my hair.

Now talking about the conditioner. The packaging of the conditioner is similar to that of shampoo. The only difference is that it opens from bottom instead of top. The conditioner has slightly thicker n creamy texture and is light yellow in color. Like the shampoo, the conditioner smells great too and if the shampoo and conditioner are used together, the lovely smell lingers on my hair even longer.

L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Conditioner hydrates and nourishes the hair well and leaves the hair looking shiny. However, I do feel it tends to make my hair greasy even sooner and is not the best conditioner for my fine hair. It does make my hair look shiny and sleek but it kinds of weigh my hair down and makes them look thinner and flatter. Therefore, I prefer using it less often, may be just once a week. Perhaps the conditioner will work better for me in winters when my scalp and hair get less greasy. Its still great for those with extremely dry, dull and difficult to manage hair.


To sum it up, L'Oreal Paris 6 Oil Nourish Shampoo & Conditioner are great for those who want to add some life and shine to their hair. While I love the shampoo so much as it really adds life to my hair and leaves them more manageable and sleek without weighing them down, the conditioner however has not worked so well for me. It nourishes the hair well and adds shine to them but it makes my hair look flat and tends to make them oily even sooner. It might work better for me in winters and I will continue to use it from time to time. I really like how both the products smell and love the overall results of both the products especially the shampoo on my hair.

• The shampoo leathers really well
• Make the hair look shinny and bouncy
• Adds life to dull hair
• The shampoo doesn't weigh down my thin hair
• The conditioner hydrates and nourishes the hair well

The Bads:

• Both the products did not actually make my hair thicker
• The conditioner does not work well for fine/straight hair
• The combo might not be the best for those with extremely greasy/oily scalp
