Hope your week is going great so far. Essence Cosmetics recently launched some new fall/winter products. The new launches in Pakistan also include the new Essence Sheer & Shine lipsticks. These lipsticks surely caught my eye because of their captivating packaging. Today am reviewing Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick in shade "Sparkling Miracle". Let's get to the review and see what I have to say about this new lipstick by Essence cosmetics.

Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick comes in a metallic bullet with translucent plastic lid. The lids of these lipsticks are matched to the actual color of the lipstick inside. The name of the shade is written on the bottom of tube. Overall, I find the packaging of this lipstick really cute and attractive.

Coming towards the formula and finish. As the name indicates, this is a sheer and shiny lipstick, so you cannot expect this to offer opaque coverage. The lipstick is fairly pigmented. It offers sheer coverage in one swipe and medium coverage with multiple swipes. The finish of this lipstick is shiny. It adds a subtle hint of color to the lips with sheen. The formula of this lipstick is very hydrating. It keeps the lips moisturized for many hours and leaves my lips feeling soft and supple by the end of the day.

The shade that am reviewing is "07 Sparkling Miracle". Its a light mauve pink shade with very fine shimmer. Am not a fan of shimmer in lip products but the shimmer in this one is not at all bothersome or noticeable. The staying power of this lipstick is not very impressive and it stays on the lips for about 2-3 hours at max. However, it keeps the lips feeling soft and hydrated for many hours.

All in all, I like the formula and feel of this essence sheer & shine lipstick. It feels lightweight, is comfortable to wear, feels hydrating and adds a nice sheen to the lips. However, the shade is too light for my liking and the staying power of this lipstick is not really impressive either. Nonetheless, I like how it feels on my lips. I am surely going to grab a darker shade from the range next. For the price, I think this is a nice lipstick and you should give it a try.

• Sheer yet buildable coverage
• Adds a nice sheen to lips
• Feels hydrating

The Bads:

• Poor staying power
• This particular shade needs more than one swipes to show up

Hope you are doing great. Liquid lipsticks were all the hype last year and they are here to stay. From high-end to drugstore, many makeup brands launched liquid lipsticks during past year. Even this year, many new and upcoming collections include liquid lipsticks. One of our favorite drugstore brands, Essence Cosmetics also jumped on the bandwagon and launched these affordable liquid lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks look different than the rest of the lipsticks that I have tried so far. So let's get to the review and see what I have to say about this liquid lipstick by Essence Cosmetics.

Essence liquid lipsticks come in transparent plastic packaging with colored lipstick shape within the center. These liquid lipsticks have a doe-foot applicator that help spread the product evenly on the lips. The packaging somehow reminds me of Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Colors. I find the packaging of this liquid lipstick really cute.

The formula of this liquid lipstick is different than other liquid lipsticks. Its hybrid of lipstick and lip gloss. Unlike other liquid lipsticks, its not matte, rather its glossy. The texture of this liquid lipstick is quite thick. It looks and feels more like a gloss but doesn't feel tacky or sticky at all. This liquid lipstick is highly pigmented and the coverage it provides is medium yet buildable. Since, it feels more like a gloss, therefore, it doesn't feel drying and keeps the lips moisturized for hours. This liquid lipstick also has a vanilla like scent and it tastes a bit sweet too. However, the scent and taste are not at all bothersome and I like it.

The shade that am reviewing is 04 "Show Off" which is a beautiful coral pinkish shade with hint of red. On my lips it appears as a bright coral pink shade. The shade is suitable for almost all skin tones. Being a glossy lip color, it does transfer and fade easily. However, it doesn't bleed. The glossiness/shine of this lipstick reduces after about an hour of application. The subtle coral pink color sticks to the lips for about 3-4 hours and then slowly fades away. It also leaves behind a nice light stain which lasts for an extra hour. It keeps the lips hydrated for many hours and leaves my lips feeling soft by the end of the day.

In my opinion, its not actually a liquid lipstick rather more of a long-lasting lip gloss. It has decent staying power as a gloss, is highly pigmented and feels comfortable on the lips. However, its not matte and doesn't feel like other liquid lipsticks. Those who prefer glossy finish and are looking for an affordable hydrating lip color should check these out for sure.

• Feels, looks and performs more like a lip gloss

Hope your week is off to a great start. Today am reviewing two new nail colors that I recently tried by Essence Cosmetics. These are Essence The Gel Nail Polishes in shade "4 Ever Young" and "Our Sweetest Day". I am not much into nail colors but was intrigued to try this new GEL formula of these nail polishes. Let's get to the review and see what I have to say about these gel nail colors.

Essence The Gel Nail Polishes are richly pigmented. These nail polishes have slightly thicker texture than the Color & Go Nail Colors. They applies easily and dry quickly. One to two thin coats of the gel nail polish are enough to provide opaque coverage. These gel nail polishes are long lasting and easily last for about 3-4 days or more.

The shade "4 Ever Young" is a gorgeous pinkish red shade. Its a really pretty shade with cream finish. Two fine coats of this nail polish are enough to provide adequate coverage. This particular shade lasted on my nails for about 3 days without chipping or cracking.

Essence The Gel Nail Polish in shade "Our Sweetest Day":
This is a gorgeous pearly pink shade with very fine light pink and silver glitter. Its my favorite among the two. Its much easier to apply and just one coat of this gel nail color provides the desired coverage. This gel nail color lasted on my nails for about 4 days and didn't chip or crack at all. I love this gel nail color and its a really pretty and wearable shade.

Essence The Gel Nail Polish "Our Sweetest Day"

Overall, I really like these new Essence The Gel Nail Polishes. These are long-lasting and are available in variety of finishes. I am not much of a nail polish girl but this subtle glittery shade "Our Sweetest Day" has won my heart. I love the texture, finish and overall performance of these gel nail polishes and would definitely recommend all nail polish lovers to try these out.

Hope you all are doing great. Today am sharing my thoughts on two new products by Essence Cosmetics; Essence Colour & Shape Eyebrow Gel and Precise Eyeliner Brush. Since I have naturally thin eyebrows with fine hair and lots of gaps, therefore using brow pencil or powder is a must for me. My favorite product to fill my brows is Sigma Beauty Brow Powder Duo. However I was intrigued to try any tinted eyebrow gel and luckily came across this new Colour & Shape Eyebrow Gel by Essence Cosmetics which comes with an affordable price tag. So let's get to the review and see what I have to say about these two products.

Starting with the colour & shape eyebrow gel. As the name already explains, this is a tinted/colored eyebrow gel. This brow gel comes in a round pot that contains enough quantity of the product. It somehow reminds me of ABH Brow Pomade that I have on my wishlist. I am glad Essence Cosmetics introduced this affordable version of eyebrow gel. Not sure if it could be a possible dupe for ABH Brow Pomade or other brow gels though.

The shade that I got is 01 Brown which is perfect for those with black or brown eyebrows. The gel formula applies smoothly and easily. This all-in-one eyebrow gel defines and sets the brows and keeps them intact for many hours. It doesn't feel sticky and sets to natural looking, matte finish. The colour & shape brow gel is fairly pigmented. However, it is not highly pigmented and does not fill large gaps easily. I feel the need to apply a lot of quantity of the brow gel to properly define and fill my thin eyebrows. The staying power of this brow gel is really impressive and even in such hot and humid weather, it keeps my brows intact and stays almost all day long without transferring or smudging.

Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush:
Essence precise eyeliner brush is a multipurpose angled brush that can be used to apply gel liner, brow color/powder or for precise application of eyeshadow. The brush comes in transparent outer packaging and has white floral pattern on the handle that looks so attractive. This brush has a precise slanted tip which is not very stiff. The bristles of the brush are soft and good quality. Since the tip of this brush is not very firm, it does not work very well for applying gel eye liner. However, the size and shape of this brush is best for applying eyebrow color or eye shadow on lower lid. I use it for applying essence colour & shape eyebrow gel. It applies the brow gel with perfection and provides more control for precise application of color. Those with very thin brows like me may feel the need to use a stiffer brush for even better application of color.

In the picture below, I have applied Essence Colour & Shape Eyebrow Gel in shade 01 Brown using Essence Precise Eyeliner Brush.

Overall, am quite pleased with these new products by Essence Cosmetics. The precise eyeliner brush is pretty decent for the price and works well for applying brow gel. However, it is not the best brush to apply eyeliner with. The eyebrow gel is not as pigmented as other eyebrow powders/colors and does not fill huge gaps easily. Nonetheless, I like it a lot and think it is great for everyday use. It is an all-in-one brow gel that defines and sets the brows easily. The staying power of this brow gel is really impressive too. For the price, its something unique and really good and I am glad Essence Cosmetics came up with such affordable version of brow gel that was much needed. Both the products are affordable and I surely recommend you to try these.

I hope you all are doing great. Winters are all about playing with bold colors, especially reds, purples, plums and berry shades. So today am going to review a gorgeous red nail color and a lovely sparkly top coat by essence cosmetics.

Essence Color & Go Nail Color in Juicy Love:
Essence color & go nail color in Juicy Love is a lovely cherry red shade which is perfect for any time of the year. I am so in love with this shade. The applicator is just perfect to apply the right amount of color on nails. Its consistency is medium which isn't too thick or thin. This nail color dries super quickly which is great. Two coats of color & go nail color are enough to provide the right coverage. Its staying power is pretty decent too. However, I noticed that it starts chipping off after 3-4 days. But still, its not bad for the price. Overall, its a lovely color, perfect for this time of the year... <3

Essence Nail Art Sparkle Sand (Top Coat) in I Feel Gritty:
Now this is another fun top coat by essence cosmetics. It is transparent in color with micro silver n greyish glitter particles. This one is a bit thicker in consistency than the color and go nail color so applying this top coat can be a bit tricky initially. One thin layer of this nail art top coat is enough to give a nice sparkly sandy effect to nails. It is named sparkle sand because it dries and provides finish like rough sandy surface. It is a nice fun top coat which will look good over any nail color.

Overall, am quite pleased with these nail colors by Essence Cosmetics. Am so in love with the color & go nail color in "juicy love" and love using it alone. If you are into nail art n like glittery and sparkly nail products then you will love this sparkle sand nail art top coat for sure. In the end take a look at both of these lovely nail colors individually.

This eyeshadow has soft and smooth texture. The smooth texture makes it really easy to apply and blend. Finish of this eyeshadow isn't fully metallic but rather its semi-satin. Its finish is somehow unique and is somewhere between matte and silky finish. The pigmentation of this eyeshadow is great. What I really like about this product is that while applying this eyeshadow, I didn't experience much of fall out like other velvety or metallic eye shades. However, you may experience slight fall out in the pan because of the soft and smooth texture.

The shade choco-chic is a deep chocolate brown shade with slight sheen and very fine shimmer particles. This shade is perfect to use in the crease or outer corner of the eye for a subtle brown smokey eye look. The staying power of this eyeshadow is pretty impressive. I applied and tested it many times without any primer and it lasted on me easily till the eve without any fall out and creasing. I have sensitive eyes and luckily I didn't notice any irritation after using this eyeshadow. Now take a lot at this gorgeous brown shade which is perfect for fall/winters.

Overall, am quite pleased with the finish and performance of this eyeshadow. Its finish is kind of unique. Luckily its not chalky like matte eye shades and also doesn't have heavy glitter particles. The only downside is that it isn't actually fully metallic as the name claims. So if you are looking for something more glamorous and lustrous, then this is not for you. Otherwise, its a beautiful brown eyeshadow with some fine shimmer and subtle sheen.

The Goods:

• Great Pigmentation
• Smooth texture with fine shimmer and light sheen
• Minimum or no fall out
• Doesn't crease
• Easy to blend
• Good staying power

The Bads:

• Is not fully metallic and lacks luster

Hope you all are doing great. My lips tend to get dry and chapped often. Therefore using a good lip balm is a must for me through out the year. Luckily last week I got the chance to try this "Raspberry Sorbet Glossy Lip Balm" by Essence Cosmetics. Lets see what I have to say about this little glossy balm after trying and using it regularly for many days.

This lip balm comes in a mini squeezable tube like packaging. It is small enough to fit your wallet, clutch or hand bag. The texture of this glossy balm is creamy and smooth. Now what I like about this product is that it doesn't feel tacky or sticky at all. It provides decent hydration to the lips and makes your lips feel soft and supple like a lip balm and provides a nice sheen to the lips like a gloss.

This particular shade "Raspberry Sorbet" is not very pigmented. Its a sheer light pink shade. When applied on lips, it appears as a very sheer pale pink shade. It has some fine shimmer particles in it which aren't much visible when applied on lips. It actually tastes sweet and yum. To my surprise, the staying power of this lip balm is pretty decent too. It lasted on my lips for about 2-3 hours which is pretty great for a gloss or a lip balm. Even after its glossiness faded away, my lips felt soft and smooth and tasted sweet.

Overall, its a decent combination of a lip balm and lip gloss. This isn't the most moisturizing balm ever, but still provides enough hydration and makes the lips feel soft and supple for few hours. It tastes yum too. For the price, its really good and after trying this one am definitely gonna pick more flavors soon.

• Affordable
• Tastes sweet and yum
• Provides decent hydration
• Adds a subtle sheen to the lips
• Pretty decent staying power (considering it as a balm/gloss)
• Doesn't feel stick or tacky
• Doesn't feel thick
• Travel friendly packaging

The Bads:

• Is not the most hydrating balm ever
• This particular shade is not very pigmented

Essence recently introduced its Home Sweet Home Collection and I was really tempted to try a few things from the range. About 2 weeks ago I was able to find the collection at a local drugstore here. Unfortunately, the lipsticks were out of stock that I really wanted to try but then the blushes from this range caught my eye and I got myself one immediately. There were two shades of blushes available in this range. One was a mix of coral/orange with pink and the other was a lighter pink with burgundy kind of shade. I picked the pink one which is named "Knits For Chicks". Let's see what I have to say about this cute looking blush......

Starting with the packaging this blush comes in a round plastic blush containers. One thing I'd like to mention is that the lid of this container is very tight, and makes a loud click sound upon closing. The packaging of this blush is a bit bigger than the previous silky touch blushes by Essence. Overall the packaging is okay. What actually caught my eye is the embossed knit pattern of the blush inside which looks so cute.

This blush is very pigmented. When I first swatched this blush on my hand, the pigmentation seemed just reasonable. But then, when I applied it with a brush on my cheeks, it was really very pigmented. The lighter shade is not very pigmented if worn alone. It appears as a very light shimmery silverish pink shade. However, the darker shade is highly pigmented. It appears as a bright matte pink/rosy shade. I swirl my blusher brush in the pan to mix both the shades, then tap the access and apply it very light-handedly on my cheek bones to add a lovely pop of color to my cheeks.

This blush feels so silky and smooth. There are no harsh chunks of shimmer or glitter in this blush when applied, rather it adds a nice sheen to the cheeks. When blended together, it appears as a perfect medium rosy pink shade for winters with a pretty sheen. This blush is incredibly soft in texture. In fact, it is so soft that it may lead to fall out in the pan. So, be careful about that. Here are the swatches of this blush. The first picture shows both shades swatched separately and the second picture shows how the blush looks when blended together.

Overall, I love this blush. The staying power of this blush is pretty decent too. It's not great but not poor too. After about 4 to 5 hours, there is still some noticeable tint of color on the cheeks. I am loving this color for winters and soon planning to get the coral/orange shade from this range too.


The Goods:

• Blends easily
• Decent pigmentation
• Has a nice and subtle sheen
• Soft texture
• Does not enhance pores or dryness
• Unique/Attractive knitted kind of pattern :)

The Bads: 

• Limited color range (Only two shades available from this range)
• The Lighter shade may appear less pigmented if worn alone.

Hey beauties,

Today am going to review a new mascara by Essence Cosmetics. Before starting, let me tell that I don't use mascaras on regular basis. My lashes are long but thin. They are naturally lifted upwards but they kind of remain tangled (hope this makes sense) but yes they stick to each other. I was curious to try this mascara because I didn't find many online reviews for this. So, I wanted to try it and review this for my readers. The mascara comes in a pretty curvy pink bottle. The mascara has a thin curvy brush that makes the application very easy for my thin lashes. The wand easily reaches even the smallest lashes.

Essence All About Curl Mascara Brush

The small curvy wand is easier to use but it does not dramatically curves the lashes. It just gives the lashes a decent curve and lift . Well for me any mascara can do that so no big deal. However, this mascara really holds the curl all day long. Now coming to the volume. A big NO. It adds a bit of volume to the lashes but I can't say it's a volumizing mascara. Even 2 or 3 coats of this mascara fail to provide much volume *sigh*. However this mascara lengthens the lashes for sure.

This mascara is not very thick so it dries quickly but I feel the fiber formula makes my lashes stick together and my lashes look like spider legs (huhhh). I always need to use an eyelash comb afterwards but still don't get the desired results. Again, this mascara didn't work for me as I always look for a mascara that defines and separates my lashes.

Well, the good news is that this mascara is water proof. It also does not smudge or flake all day which is great. I have tried and tested it several times and my curls were still there at the end of the day and the mascara didn't flake or smudge. So, if you are looking for a smudge proof, flake-free mascara then you will like this. And yes, this mascara does not irritate my sensitive eyes. Essence All About Curl - Curl + Volume Mascara

Overall, the essence all about curl mascara curls and lengthens the lashes. But for volume, this mascara is a BIG disappointment. I use this mascara for a no makeup look when I don't want much volume and just wanna give my lashes a little lift with some length. But I still feel the Essence Get Big Lash and Crazy Volume mascaras provide much more volume to my thin lashes and I love those essence mascaras more. Here's the quick pros and cons summary of this mascara.

The Goods:

• Gives the lashes a decent curl & some length
• Holds the curl
• Does not smudge or flake
• Water resistant

The Bads:

• Does not provide enough volume
• Sticks my lashes together
• Does not separate or define lashes
• Difficult to remove
